Degree in Psychology from the University of Bergamo (Bergamo, Italy) and Master in Cognitive Neurosciences from the Universitad Vita-Salute San Raffaele (Milan, Italy). She obtained her PhD in Psychology at the University Jaume I under the direction of Dr. Cristina Botella and Dr. Azucena García-Palacios, with the thesis ‘Positive emotion regulation: Forecasting the future, savoring the present and reminiscing about the past’.

For three years, he participated in the European AffecTech project, benefiting from a Marie Curie pre-doctoral fellowship and collaborating with centers in ten countries of the European Union. She also collaborated with Philips Research – High Tech Campus (The Netherlands) in the development of a mobile application focused on improving emotional regulation. Subsequently, he obtained a Juan de la Cierva-Formación postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Valencia.

After a year as a postdoctoral researcher at the Vrije University in Amsterdam, Margarita Sala is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Labpsitec research group at the University Jaume I. Her research areas focus on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to investigate emotional regulation and improve emotional well-being, with special interest in processes related to positive emotion regulation, cognitive biases and memory. She collaborates in several national and international projects focused on the development of ICT for mental health.
