Noelia Jiménez Orenga has a degree in Psychology from Universitat Jaume I of Castellón (2012-2016) and has completed the Master in General Health Psychology (2019-2021) at the same university.

Previously, Noelia enjoyed a collaboration grant in the Addiction and Neuroplasticity group at Universitat Jaume I, and worked as a psychologist in the Parkinson’s Association of Castellón Province, providing emotional support and psychological counseling to patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Currently, and since 2020, she is studying the PhD program in Psychology at the Universitat Jaume I and is part of the LABPSITEC group. Her doctoral thesis, directed by Dr. Juana María Bretón López and Dr. Amanda Díaz García, has the general objective of studying the feasibility, acceptability and effectiveness of an innovative treatment protocol for emotional disorders, based on the transdiagnostic perspective and applied in group and blended format (face-to-face therapy + online therapy), through an initial pilot study and a subsequent randomized controlled study. As part of the thesis, it is also intended to synthesize and integrate the scientific evidence on the efficacy of transdiagnostic treatments, by means of a meta-analysis study that will contribute to the creation of a MARD (Meta Analytic Research Domain) in this specific field and help to clarify what kind of transdiagnostic interventions are more suitable for the treatment of emotional disorders, for which patients and under what conditions.

In addition, Noelia collaborates in other projects carried out in the LABPSITEC group and is a therapist at the Psychological Assistance Service of the Universitat Jaume I, directed by Dr. Azucena García Palacios and recognized as a health center of the Valencian Community. Since 2022, she has been teaching official subjects of the Degree in Psychology and the Degree in Criminology and Security.
