Jorge Grimaldos García completed his doctoral thesis in Psychology at the Doctoral School of the Universitat Jaume I. He is now a postdoctoral researcher at UJI.
His area of research is focused on the application of ICTs in psychological treatments. Specifically, his main research line is focused on the application of Augmented Reality in the treatment of specific phobia of small animals.
The main objective is to investigate the feasibility, effectiveness and optimization of the use of this technology in the exposure treatment for cockroach phobia and the practical and clinical advantages that this technology provides compared to the usual treatment. As for his teaching profile, he is part of the area of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatment within the Department of Basic and Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology, beginning his teaching activity in the 2020-21 academic year.
He is currently teaching the subject “Assessment and Clinical Intervention” in the 4th year of the Psychology Degree at the Universitat Jaume I. Along with this, he is part of the team of psychotherapists of the Psychological Assistance Service at Universitat Jaume I since 2019.
