RESEARCH
Our group is distinguished by the quality of our scientific production. The results of our research have given rise to more than 400 scientific publications.
- We started in 1995 being pioneers in the application of VR for the treatment of phobias.
- In 1999 we created the world’s first fully self-applied eHealth WEB system.
- In 2007 we created the first social network for the elderly with tools for early detection of depression and anxiety.
Since then, we have progressed in the field of eHealth, thanks to continuous funding from the European Union since 2001, which has allowed us to investigate how different technologies can be applied to the field of health and well-being.
We have received several awards that endorse our research quality. Among them are the following:
- Best Medical Application in the III SaluDigital 2019 awards.
- Battestini 2019 Award from the Santa Tecla Health and Social Network.
- Best Health App 2018 at the HM Hospitales awards.
- First prize in solutions for the elderly at LLGA 2013, cities for the future, a competition in which technological solutions from all over the world compete.
- First prize for Scientific Dissemination. Banco Santander Universities.
- Award. “Finalist with honourable mention” to the project “Telemedicine and portable virtual environments for clinical psychology, IST-2000-25323-VEPSY UPDATED”.
