Dr. Soledad Quero Castellano is Professor in the area of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments of the Department of Basic, Clinical and Psychobiology Psychology of the Universitat Jaume I and member of the research group Labpsitec.

The main line of research in which my career is framed is the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs: virtual reality, Internet, augmented reality) for the improvement of psychological treatments (mainly emotional disorders) and well-being in general. I have participated as a researcher in more than 40 research projects funded by national entities and the European Union. In recent years I have contributed to the group obtaining 9 projects as principal investigator in the calls of the Research Promotion Plan of the Universitat Jaume I (4), the Generalitat Valenciana (2) and the National Plan (3). The common theme of these projects is the use of augmented reality and Internet-based interventions for the treatment of specific phobias and stress-related disorders (adaptive disorders and prolonged bereavement disorder). I also belong to one of the CIBER actions of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, specifically the CIBERobn. Regarding publications, I am co-author of at least 30 book chapters and more than 105 articles in national and international journals (many of them included in the Journal of Citations Reports database).

She is part of the Doctoral Program in Psychology at the Universitat Jaume I and of the interuniversity doctoral program with the Polibienestar Institute of the Universitat de Valencia Design, Management and Evaluation of Public Welfare Policies.

As far as my teaching is concerned, it has focused on subjects related to psychological treatments both in Psychology Degree and in Master’s Degree. My commitment to teaching is reflected, on the one hand, in the coordination of the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology at the Universtitat Jaume I since its launch in September 2014. And, on the other hand, I have been Vice-Dean of the Master’s Degree of the Faculty of Health Sciences from July 2012 to May 2018. Finally, I have recently received the XII University Teaching Excellence Award 2020, granted by the Social Council of the Universitat Jaume I.
