Laura Díaz Sanahuja graduated in Psychology and completed a Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology at the Universitat Jaume I. She also completed a postgraduate degree as a university expert in gambling addiction and other behavioral addictions at ADEIT-Valencia.

She obtained her PhD degree in Psychology from the Universitat Jaume I in 2023. From 2018 to 2020 he enjoyed the grant for the hiring of predoctoral research staff from the Generalitat Valenciana, and subsequently, a contract as predoctoral research staff in training at the Universitat Jaume I in the framework of a National Project on Drugs (2020I015). She completed her doctoral thesis on technological innovations for the assessment and treatment of gambling disorder, also known as pathological gambling, and which was directed by Dr. Juana María Bretón López and Dr. Azucena García Palacios.

She belongs to the area of Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatments within the Department of Basic, Clinical and Psychobiology Psychology and her teaching profile corresponds mainly to subjects related to intervention techniques and psychological treatments, although currently she has also taught in the Degree in Criminology in subjects such as Forensic Psychiatry, Psychology of Criminal Behavior, Forensic Psychological Evaluation and Psychology of Testimony, and in the Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, in the subject of Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology. She has also been tutor of external practices of the Degree in Psychology and the Degree in Criminology.

Finally, she contributes as a therapist in the activities of evaluation, diagnosis and psychological treatments in the Psychological Assistance Service (SAP) of the Universitat Jaume I, directed by Dr. Azucena García Palacios and recognized as a health center of the Valencian Community.
