![]() The principal goal of Positive Psychology is to improve wellbeing and to prevent the arousal of mental disorders and pathologies. As a secondary goal we intend to promote the principal elements that enable individuals to successfully develop and do well.
In general, traditional clinical psychology focuses on the “negative” aspects of human condition. On the other hand, positive clinical psychology focuses on the second idea. From this point of view, as Csikszentmihalyi points out, psychological treatments do not only try to repair the damaged areas, but they try to empower what is working properly and create new working conditions that prevent the arousal of new problems. At Labpsitec we are beginning to work from the Positive Psychology orientation, using positive mood induction tasks and programs to improve the elderly’s wellbeing. | ||||
